Due to family birthdays around and including today, both my daughters are with us. None of us received the emergency alert at 3pm, in fact having psyched ourselves up for government intervention with celebrations, I suddenly realised at about 3.20pm that none of our phones had gone off.
Mixture of 3, iD mobile, Tesco, Lebara.
Did you receive thd alert or not?

Got the alert just before 3pm. EE on a Samsung. Some phones have them turned off by default, in any event.

Yeah, all our phones on Vodafone and O2 went off. Bit of anticlimax really.

I'll just use the alert to tell me to go to the pub. 🤣

Ours all went off as we were driving back from the Alvis Owner Club Drive It Day event. I barely heard it above the rasp of the 12/50's exhaust.

Mine didn't sound, I gather that a high percentage of 3 customers were affected.

Mine on Vodafone went off, Herself's on Tesco, didn't. Both Samsung's, albeit different models.

I’m laughing at people on the news complaining they never got the alert. Yes, that’s why they do tests..🙄

Gifgaf, no message. As mentioned a test to find the problems, not foolproof.

I'm on 02 and didn't get anything. I was at Donington, and people close by had the alert at 2.59

I'm on Tesco and got the message 3 minutes after Mrs Tim and her friend. Seems likely that delay will mean I'll be waiting outside the bunker while they're all safely inside!

How many of those that didn’t get it had emergency unknowingly had alerts turned off? On iPhones it sits at the bottom of the Notifications section of General settings. Given it came at half time of an hilarious Spurs thrashing I enjoyed the various memes and Twitter comments.

We were in Ikea at the time. A whole load of phones went off at 3pm but our Vodafone ones didn't, until about 2 or 3 minutes later. Maybe there is a pre-selection of who should get to safety first. My daughter who is on 3 got nothing.

I pointed out to W2.1 that it’s difficult for cells to handle all phones at once in densely populated areas so that would surely have an effect. Anyone that’s tried using O2 at the Emirates stadium knows what I’m on about 😖

My phone was turned off all day so I turned it on this morning and there was no trace of any message. Same for Mrs WW.

That everyone's gone to a party and you're not invited? That sort of thing? These days I just don't care

I was at the gym avoiding having to go round the shops with my teenage daughters and everyone around me had their phone go off but as we all had them linked to headphones it didn't make much of a fuss.

We were in a pub in the Cotswolds having lunch with friends and absolutely riveted as to what would happen at 3pm because randomly David Cameron and his wife and kids were having lunch on the next door table and there were four security officers lunching in the other corner of the room. However, at 2.55pm they all suddenly upped and left.
So we got the chorus of alerts without any concern that it would turn into a Cotswolds version of that scene in Kingsman where Colin Firth goes into slaughter mode in a church.
