If they could make an entire car out of edible materials, at the end of its life instead of scrapping it, you could just eat it. The ultimate in recycling??

You're correct and Mercedes tried it again in the late 90s/early 2000s.
I think the owner profile was wrong for the use of chocolate in both cases.

I think cocoa husks have been around as sound absorbtion materials for a while although I'm not sure about current use. Bamboo would seem to have promise too.
