www.evo.co.uk/ferrari/purosangueThoughts? Daft name as its anything but a pureblood or Thoroughbred if I have my translation right. Still I think its a pretty successful interpretation of a Ferrari SUV and certainly adds something to the automotive landscape. If I was far more monied and needed a daily I'd be very tempted. However, I don't see why Ferrari needed to build this car. Like Rolex they sell everything they make and the corporate line is they aren't trying to add volume and want to sell around 10,000 cars annually. This will blow that and no doubt become their best seller. Every other sportscar manufacturer with an SUV in its line up I guess had no choice but to go after more sales, Lambo, Porsche, Aston etc. What would Enzo say?

I clicked on the link expecting to be commenting on how pointless this is and how it was just Ferrari just following a fashion, but having seen it I must admit that I really like it. Still probably a bit pointless, unless you want a Ferrari for the family man, in which case it seems to fit the bill very well indeed.

I like that it seems a much more bespoke product than the Urus.

In the same vein as the Aston, understated and in my humble opinion better for that.

A company can never make too much profit.

I’ve seen £350k mentioned but obviously that’ll be before options. I don’t dislike it as a car but I’m disappointed it’s a Ferrari. It’s also one of those cars where you can see the designer had ideas the engineers couldn’t pull off. I suspect that vent at the base of the a-pillar was meant to link to the a-pillar to create a feature line that ran to the rear roof spoiler. Doesn’t quite work.

Looks like a Ferrari, which is no mean feat for an SUV. Nowhere near as offensive as the Aston Martin thingamjig but that’s not really a difficult achievement.
That said, the kind of tool that needs to have a jacked up Ferrari instead of just having a Ferrari and a Range Rover (or other realistically useable SUV) is very likely not the sharpest one in the box.

The big disappointment with the Urus is that it has the same VAG turbo V8 as used across the Audi range. As good an engine as it is, it's a shame they never managed to make the Lambo V10 work or even the V12. I know that it would be a packaging nightmare but it's a shame nonetheless and doesn't make it feel like as bespoke a product as this Ferrari does.

^ while they could sell every one of those they could make, the green groan might drag the image a bit.

I can't see that I'd buy one if I had the means, but I do like it and as has been said, it's a big improvement over similar vehicles.
I suspect most will be bought by people who want to be seen in the latest thing more than any other reason.

I like that - unless the images are deceptive it looks more "jacked up estate" than SUV. To my eye it also looks very like the Ferrari FF with rear doors added. And everyone seemed to hate the FF (but I rather liked it).

If I could afford one, I’d also want somebody to clean it for me - looks like it’d be a nightmare to wash.

I like it and think the design is very good. However even with a Euromillions win I am not sure I would want to be so conspicuous in public.

I think that's why few farmers after a 4x4 will buy one; by the time it's been up and down a few fields, dragged trailers about, splashed through farmyards of animal shit, they're not going to want to spend a load of time with a a bucket and sponge before sitting down to their dinner.

Do they not come with the hose down interior? A bad oversight there.

As a card-carrying SUV loather I fully expected to hate it, but don't. Probably because it's visibly lower than the norm and just about avoids the inherent wrongness of SUV proportions. And the jacked-up Roma look, weirdly, isn't a complete disaster.

If I could afford one, I’d also want somebody to clean it for me - looks like it’d be a nightmare to wash. It's not got roof rails which means it will be a pig to wash. the "standard" way to wash the roof of an SUV (or MPV) is to stand on the top of the rear tyres, using the roof rails to pull yourself up, and hang onto as you clean then "dismount"

I set the deployable side steps to Roof Access mode and stand on them to clean/dry the roof. One is much safer that way

A vulgar display of crass tastelessness.
I expect to see a few roaming the wilds of Wilmslow very soon.
