Finally after over 5 years (and a change of phone) I've got Android Auto to work on the Kuga !
I've had a few attempts over the years but never got anywhere with it, then after a quick search on YouTube last weekend for "android auto" and "Ford sync", plus deleting and re-installing the app, I've got it sorted. What a long-winded and seemingly unnecessarily complex procedure it is to go through everything to get car and phone to talk to each other and grant all the relevant permissions etc
