Bored yesterday so went to look at the local Aston dealer and ended up test driving a vantage convertible.
It does drive very nicely ,rides nicely and the engine has some serious punch although there is noticeable lag compared to my car (obviously ) .Interior is huge let down and overall it did not feel special ,in fact you would get a very similar experience in the much cheaper Jag f type .
(And no the gt3 is not being sold)

Yep, sooner they replace the new Vantage the better, its still a mystery to me how the car made it through the design clinics. They made the mistake of thinking an Aston should drive better then a 911 and forgetting about why people actually buy Astons.

I'd change that to add "The sooner they replace the people designing Astons the better. It's still a mystery to me how the exterior or interior of any of the current crop of Astons made it through the design clinics." |

The inside is as horrid as it looks in pics then? Messy but I could live with it if you got the sense of occasion from sitting in it ,but I didn’t feel that . The aston interiors are never great design but the things like the smell etc made cars like the old vantage and dbs feel special . |

If they don't make you feel special or feel special in themselves, then what are you getting for your money, except bragging rights? |
