Bloody awesome but where the hell do you use it. If you bought it to run around Silverstone all day wouldn't you already own a racing team that would deliver that thrill.
Maybe it'll be like the McLaren F1 and win the Le Mans 24hrs without having to change too much.

That looks completely mental. Like Ed says though, I can't see very many of them being sold to anyone other than the Arabs.

How many will actually be driven rather than just stored?

How many will actually be driven rather than just stored? 1 Probably, just the one owned by Andy B, the guy who owns and uses the road going F1 and P1 GTRs.

These cars all look the same to me. It's not very Aston Martinish.

With a price tag of £2.5m this will just be another toy to add to a very large collection for those so mentally wealthy that they are probably very happy just to look at it and sit in it.

So why do they buy them? Do they think that they will appreciate in value and/or is there so little else left in which to invest?

I imagine there are 3 reasons:- 1. Investment piece because these sorts of people always want to increase their already massive wealth (look at the price of 10 year old hyper Ferraris with 15 miles on the clock or McLaren F1s) 2. To show off - there's surely a reason why the most expensive brand new watches are so hideous and hideously eye-catching. 3. To sit in and admire the engineering/tech/whatever that they'll never actually use in anger.

I prefer the original concept but that's still very cool.

The specs of the naturally aspirated engine have been released, seriously impressive, especially the weight. link

"Despite the base car costing around £2.5m, with 150 road and 25 track versions being built, Palmer said the project is unlikely to make money. “We’ll be lucky if this project washes its face, but that’s not why we do it,” he said. “This is the 1977 Vantage V8 all over again — a landmark car that gives you the poster-on-the-wall effect. Kids will fall in love with it. Dads will talk about it. It’s a symbolic car."
Not really for me anyway. The 1977 Vantage was a car you could drive every day if you wanted to, was a thing of beauty and had an element of practicality to it. You're hardly going to commute into the city every day in the Valkyrie are you?

I suspect that if you can own a Valkyrie, you do not commute to work every day

The volume in the player is turned down to zero, it can be turned up. That sounds bloody great.

Are most people who watch car videos so dull and desensitised that they need music like that piled (mountained?) over the top?
