I once bought T4 a used bicycle from FB marketplace as it seemed a local purchase for a used item was what it was made for.
Recently though an £800k house popped up as “locally available” on it. Not sure if I’d buy a house via that platform but each to their own.

I'm a convert to FB market place after Ebay charges got too high. You do get your fair share of idiots, but you did with Ebay as well.

Not sure if I’d buy a house via that platform but each to their own. My daughter put her house on FB marketplace with the normal estate agent route as a back up and had 4 serious enquiries including one who got most of the way through the buying process - didn't go through in the end due to a chain collapse. When I've bought and sold property (admittedly only been involved in 4 such transaction) I've found the estate agents have got in the way rather than helped the process and two of those 4 deals (including a seven figure sale) were done without estate agents. The seven figure deal was almost scuppered by solicitors too - in the end myself and the buyer sat together in, both on the phone to our solicitors instructing on changes to the contract (which was emailed) and we exchanged at end of the meeting.

The only bit of Facebook I miss. Half tempted to set up a new account just for marketplace, but if I'm after something, I can just use Lindsey's account.
