Just do it. I always liked these but Mk1 was better. I had one school friend with a Mk1 Facelift and one with an early Mk2 just after they’d left school.

Seats in warmish versions of several cars of that era always looked really good. Proper Recaro copies. I'm thinking Golf, Scirocco, Cavalier SRi, Astra GTE, Opel Manta etc. But by god the rest of the interiors were really stark to make up for it.
