So if you read my Business Trip thread, here’s the other thing that happened in Stafford Shell.
Petrol flap would not open. Now there’s a vapour lock bollocks thing it does that prevents you opening it immediately but that’s seconds. This was five minutes of swearing and a call to Assistance. At first I couldn’t find the manual release but then I did. Job done. Now, the flap release worked as soon as I tried it again. Then didn’t when I tried at home. Then did when I’d manually released it once.
So it’s that most annoying of all things: an intermittent fault. It will be guaranteed to never happen in the workshop no matter how many times I send it there.

Sounds like my gearbox issue. Other owners have said Mitsi won't pay unless they see it happen. Intermittent faults are the worst.

Did you lock the car then unlock it to see if a "fresh unlock" command worked?

It’s a special feature to force tax dodging company car drivers into actually plugging them in from time to time.

Did you lock the car then unlock it to see if a "fresh unlock" command worked? More than once. The till girl at the garage said (over the tannoy, so not at all embarrassing!) “drive it round the block. That sometimes works.”

That sometimes works.” All very well until you realise a quick drive round the block costs you a tenner in fuel these days!
