Decided yesterday that I’d drive to Milan today. Decided this morning that it was too far and drove to Turin instead, especially when I saw the national car museum was based there. So a round trip of just over 500km including driving through a 12km long tunnel each way (€49 toll one way, €59 return). the trip was uneventful, very beautiful scenery and when I got to Turin, saw some very nice and rareish cars on the road. An Alfa 8C and a Porsche 956 were two examples. Anyway, there were a lot of cars and some were rare and others unusual. A lot of Italian cars but that’s not a bad thing! The photo near the end of the large sign, has cars that were in the museum that were seized by the tax authorities at an estimated value of €1m, but based on what they got, I think the value is probably quite a bit higher now. I got pizza, a water and followed it with an espresso in a local place for €9 and then stopped at a bakery to buy some dessert, but their machine was broken. I didn’t have any cash, so the girl who worked there gave me it for free!

Is that F1 car with the nose off showing how Michael Schumacher’s legs were broken and cost him a title?
Great opportunistic visit and photos to prove you weren’t out on the lash.
