Should be a lot of fun! Something of a shame that primacy is achieved now through the number of turbos not the cc or the rev limit, but a sign of the times.
A relatively local trackday friend recently bought a 240i - I need to have a go in that, it still seems something of a performance bargain and looks a lot nicer than the 1 series to my eyes...

The latest EVO has a good letter about the M4 CS, basically saying yes it appears to be better (although I'd argue the M4 should be a lot better in basic form than the mags have suggested) but that the price is a pisstake, £20k for a few BHP and suspension with a different setup.

The near 70k M2 might be a bit toppy for most.

The near 70k M2 might be a bit toppy for most. I agree, especially when you can buy a much slower depreciating Porsche for similar money. Unless of course the M2 CS turn out to be another BMW 1M but that's a bit of a gamble.

Whisper. I think the bog standard 2-series coupe with no M add-ons is by far the best looking current BMW.

Presumably in MSport trim though? The non-MSport versions on shirt-button wheels look decidedly plump and tippy-toed.

I always had a soft spot for the old 1 series coupe - quite an unsual, yet nice, shape which the 2 series has improved upon...

Isn't this the same lot that said we were getting an AWD 140i and 240i?
