Definitely not, but you wouldn’t say that about any of its competitors either. I think it looks OK for a small SUV and at least it sounds like it will have some potentially interesting engines, unlike the Tonale. |

Generic as piss but will sell like warm baked goods. Although, saying that, I can count on one hand the amount of Stelvios I've seen, and one of them belongs to a friend of mine.

I think it depends where you are. I was over in Knightsbridge the other day and saw a Rolls Royce Cullinan parked up, which is not an every day sight (thankfully, you might say...). Turned the corner into the garden square behind Harrods and immediately spotted another three of them.
I assume RR offers them in a range of colours, but three out of the four were black, which I know is de rigueur for large in-yer-face SUVs, but doesn't help the whole "Metrocab by Mitsuoka" aesthetic.

I'd have thought X3 / E Pace was the class below - I'm presuming it's based on the Stelvio rather than the Tonale? But frankly, I don't know. Whatever, I'm sure it will be mighty expensive and have to be priced well above the Alfa in-house competitor whatever class it is from. So that's probably going to cost far too much to sell very many. |

A Levante is 5m long. Apparently this is 4.8m long, which is roughly Stelvio-sized.

Front end looks like an Epace but the rest of its ok. I miss the days of luxury from Maserati. We need every item in the interior covered in suede cloth, excesses of bright wood and the return of the antique clock. That interior just looks nasty.

It ought to be doing it for me, but it doesn't. My problem is that SUVs don't really do it for me in general. I'm prepared to make an exception for the Macan, but only just. |

Well of course, its a new Maserati which should get any petrolhead excited. But if Alfa & Maserati end up producing bland cars then what's the point in their existence. I see the Alfa Giulia as being the last proper Alfa to be made, whats the last proper Maserati, the Granturismo? Be interesting to see what the new one will become. |

Indeed. I still umm and ahh over a Giulia Q4 instead of a Macan. And talking of the last proper examples of various marques, I have put an expression of interest in with Sytner for the forthcoming Alpina B4 Gran Coupe.
