Ever driven the RHD and LHD version of the same model of car? I was thinking about this yesterday and despite living in the US for the last 8 years, I think the only car I’ve driven in RHD and LHD versions is a late 90’s Subaru Impreza. (WRX in Ireland, 2 litre in USA). I did test drive a C-Max in Ireland and then the same version (although plug in hybrid) in California as well but they were different generations of the same car. I’ve a niggling feeling that I drove a mk1 Focus in California at some stage (friends car) and I drove the Cougar version of the Mondeo My dad had.
With all the rental cars I had in the last 2 years, it’ll probably happen over the coming months but I’m surprised I haven’t driven more.

The only ones I can think of are E92 3 series and G series X3 as I usually try and get hire cars that aren't available in this country but that's becoming more and more difficult.

Duster and something else from the Renault group, Twingo II maybe, only because sometimes with new model training the RHD version isn't available yet.
I've never driven abroad.

A VW Touran and the original Fiat Panda. The Panda was a knackered old rental so it was hard to compare with the nearly new one I drove in the UK and the US Touran had a V6 engine instead of the UK diesel.

FIAT Pandas, Toyota Aygos and an ancient Astra. Unless it's a specific holiday involving driving (Australia/US) I try to avoid driving as much as possible. I do enough here.

I've never driven on holiday so have only ever driven RHD cars. Wouldn't mind trying LHD one day to see what it's like.

The only one that springs to mind is an E46 on the basis that I had one, W2.1 had one and my mother had one in France. Most of my rental cars are nothing I’d ever own although I had a Mini Countryman one year which led to me buying the Cooper so that’s a close second LHD v RHD event.
I’m now waiting for the fates to hand me the keys to an Alpina when (if!) we land in Vienna in December. Not likely though.

Oh man. Given what I do, quite a lot actually.
Probably not a comprehensive list, but I reckon:
Audi A6 BMW 1 Series BMW i3 BMW X6 Kia Sorento Land Rover Discovery Sport Mazda CX-30 Mini Cooper Mini Cooper Electric VW Beetle Cabriolet VW Golf Sportsvan (that SV thingy) VW Golf Variant
There's probably a few more that I can't recall at the moment

Yes, a few. The usual Golfs, Astra, Vectra, Panda, Punto, the usual holiday stuff to older BMW's, E36 and E30 325i's. Driven a 964 911 in LHD and manyy RHD 911's but not the 964 so not sure that counts. The oddest one is an Alfa 166.

I've only driven 3 LHD cars - Citroen C3, Dodge Viper and a 1983 Mercedes 280SL.

Pug 206 (holiday rental in Italy); and Vauxhall Insignia - well it was the Buick look-a-like in the US which at least had a V6 engine.

Although, I think I'm the only one here to have driven a car that can be driven on either side of the road without having to change seat...

Definitely the only person to have stuffed one anyway...... Sorry....hopefully it's no longer a painful memory and you can laugh about it!

It was 4 years ago now, so not long to go until I no longer have to tell my insurance company about it!
Many have been crashed since, just not by me.

The fact that in the 4 years since the accident I have only driven one twice on the road has nothing to do with it.

A fair few holiday rentals. Fiesta Mk6, Punto Mk1, Corsa, Polo. Nothing very interesting sadly.
