I want that Chevette, even though it was clearly running on 3 cylinders all the time.

Last nights episode was rubbish. A good driver and a gameshow host need the craziness of Flintoff to bring a road tip to life.
Equally, Flintoff's skills don't translate into making him a decent car reviewer. The Corvette segment was crying out for Harris.

I've got it on record. I will choose my moment to watch what sounds like a less than scintillating episode!

Well last nights episode was a new low ,it was dire . Yeah there didn't really seem to be much point to it. It didn't tell me much about Iceland and they didn't really seem to go anywhere or do a lot. Clearly I'm not alone then. Iceland looks beautiful but the whole segment seemed rather pointless.

Its Top Gear not Wish you were here, they got some great scenery in but if you want more then replace Harris with Judith Charmers. You'll have to google her Ben.
Does go to show that you need a 3 some for the bants, as the 2 didnt work.

Those camera-mirrors are weird, and bring another issue to the fore: our brains take longer to process digital images than real ones, even if they are showing the same thing in comparable size/location/quality. We get involved a lot with all-round camera systems and screens for trucks at work, and this is a known phenomena. It will not help. I must be especially dense as it took a couple of years with the last XFR until I got used to reversing cameras, and now every car I reverse without one, I stare at the dashboard/stereo when reversing, expecting it to give me insight...
I haven't seen Top Gear but I did see a Harrys Garage YouTube thing about the P8 vs Giulia GTA. The latter looks lovely, but I was as surprised as anyone that they sold them all - and the Jag seems to have had amazing reviews but I think it looks just a little bit too like the XE it is based on, as a pure bespoke model (or styled up to look like one, on the XE platform) - more sports than saloon - I think it would have done better. I know the P8 is better but I'm afraid if someone offered me the keys to either right now, I'd take the Alfa...

That's an issue I'm experiencing with the Optimist; the camera is fine (when it's clean enough to use!!) but nothing beats good mirros for me so far. Even the fact that both door mirrors dip doesnt help much, and I've switched that function off!

Well, the latest one was quite a good episode, surprisingly.
The Aston Victor looks utterly insane.
The bit with Freddie getting his racing licence had a nicely serious tone, almost documentary-like, which is a refreshing departure from they usually do.
I loved the DeLorean bit. I enjoy stories like that.
