I’m sure we’ve all bought silly items that only we will appreciate and possibly covet. Today one such item arrived: A key holder in the same leather as my seats. I also ordered the winter floor mats and boot mat (rubber to wash the mud off) at £100 less than list. The BMW Direct shop on eBay is a dangerous place. Anyone else as gullible as me when it comes to this kind of branded bollocks?

I did buy a similar key cover years ago but the bulk gave me a bulge in my pocket that was embarrassing so I reverted to the key only and the cover languishes in some drawer somewhere!

Sad* *I was going to use another word but thought I'd better not in these more enlightened times.

I had one of those for my 5 series (different shape) and I got the dealer to throw in a leather pouch for the display key that cam with the 7.
We’ve still got the Porsche branded umbrella that we got with the Boxster, we didn’t get it because on the branding, there was a storage area for it in the inner sill, so it needed to be that one.

Every so often that thought enters my head. And then I read something about the fun of Ferrari ownership!

Manufacturers will sell literally anything, won't they? That would be no use to me as my key still has to go in the dash

I'm a baseball cap person and a genuine Mitsubishi Motors hat arrived the other day.
I have a bag I use when I visit town on business to carry the bunches of keys, a notebook and various other items, but I refrain from calling it a man bag.

I have a BMW M watch that I bought in 2010 but only because I thought someone was giving me his BMW vouchers to use as a present, just before they expired, because he wasn't going to use them himself. Turned out that he actually wanted me to pay him the face value of the vouchers. He is/was a friend of my brother's (and not known to me at all) so of course I paid him the money. Never again though.
Anyway I still have the watch, it now sits in the bathroom so that I can see what time it is when I'm in the bath. I also had a BMW M cap and umbrella from these same vouchers but the umbrella broke years ago and sadly the cap got lost somewhere. Shame, it was a nice cap.
I probably would like a Porsche Martini Racing T-shirt or similar as long as it had a relatively tasteful and discreet set of logos rather than being completely emblazoned with them. But I think all this stuff is a bit try-hard so it needs to be something that I will genuinely enjoy wearing anyway and not particularly care what others think.
I'm on the lookout for a stealthy GR Yaris branded item...

I would rather carry everything in my pockets than resort to a hand bag.

Now that I have very little hair, I wear baseball caps a lot and woolly hats too. Whereas some years ago I would not have been seen dead in a baseball cap (thank you William Hague).
Us country boys ought to be wearing flat caps 100% of the time of course, but they seem to have become uncool since they became fashionable. Still got one, mind you as a baseball cap still does not look good of an evening out. There I draw the line.
I do have two bum-bags of various sizes that get used, plus several computer bags and rucksacks for carrying stuff. And a very smart (and expensive) Italian leather briefcase bought in Milan at Mrs PG's behest.

That (location) is my idea of hell ETTO Tim! I don’t much sitting by a pool on holiday and prefer to explore new places, but it’s nice to soak up some sunshine and we needed somewhere toddler friendly. The hotel is great too, even better than camping imho

It looks a bit too Benidorm for me.
I much prefer getting dragged up wet and windy hills against my will by Mrs Tim....

I’ve never been to Benidorm, but I doubt there are a lot of similarities and I guarantee the hotels and service are better here. It’s not somewhere we’d normally come on holiday as it’s a 2 day stopover location really (great for avoiding jet lag) but you have to make compromises when the kids are small. It’s the best balance between flight length and weather at this time of year. Now that’s my idea of hell, even more so if it’s supposed to be a holiday!

Have to say Benidorm was a bit of a surprise when we visited over the summer. I was expecting something like the tv sitcom, and there is a part like that, but that’s not the majority. It has amazing beaches, a fabulous old town with lots of traditional Spanish tapas bars and it’s also very Spanish. The old town separates the two main beaches. The one to the north is more of what you might expect, the one to the south is way more sophisticated. There were beach libraries, very smart hotels and apartments, and the majority of people you hear are Spanish. We went on a day trip for a bit of a giggle, but were surprised by it.
