Looks amazing but looses all its appeal once you start it up and there isn't that famous bark from the engine.

I'm not sure I'd get too sentimental about a 1300cc four pot engine. I'm pretty sure that's what they started life with.
It's a good looking thing, but a £350,000 car?

It's almost indefinable but looking at that glorious shape in that glorious setting, there's just something about electrical power that isn't the same.
There's a sense of vitality to an internal combustion engine and a physicality that I perfectly well understand is neither here nor there when all you need is transport from A to B. But which are kind of key in my view to the notion of driving a car for pleasure. This in my view would apply even if you were deaf.

In a world of £1M+ Porsche 911 retromods then £350k is a bargain. In addition the 1300cc (or later 1600cc twin spark) four pot engine was a tad better than whatever Ford, VW, etc were churning out then. Or since, probably. It's an absolute stunner but I'd want petrol power to motivate it. The 2 litre Twin Spark from Alfaholics would do nicely.

If I were in the market, Alfaholics would be the recipients all day every day. Those look and SOUND glorious.

Have you read Jeremy Clarkson's "I Know You Got Soul - Machines with that certain something" book? If not you should. His examples included the Alfa 166, Concorde, the Flying Scotsman, the Space Shuttle and a Riva powerboat amongst others. And the AK47 just to mix it up.

No, I haven't even heard of it, but thanks - I shall look it up.
