I struggle to see this gaining traction. They’re too late to capture any first mover advantage (Tesla mopped that up), and too conventional to offer a distinct advantage over the prestige brands that are now moving at pace into this market,

600 mile range and 800hp is all good. Loving the interior too but not sold on the looks.

I think it will get traction in the US where they are much more open to newer brands. The Tesla Model S is an old design now so this will be the new kid on the block. The charging infrastructure v Tesla may be a tougher sell though.

I’ve been to their HQ a few times and they are really difficult to get business with. I met one of their directors months ago and he’s a guy from Manchester who is a car nut. He sold his Delta Integrale before coming to California and really regrets it. They have a good product and a lot of backing, but Tesla have got the momentum and Rivian are making strides in other areas of the market (especially with quality I’ve heard). I’ve seen the Lucid Air testing but kind of blends in with the rest of the cars.
As regards charging infrastructure, now that Tesla are opening it up to other manufacturers it will ease things for companies like Lucid.
