No spoilers but I’ll start a thread on what is, as Daniel Craig said, the kind of movie they just don’t make any more.
Loved it and was glad to wait for the very end of the credits to see the words “James Bond will Return”. W2.1 thought I was mad.
I used to go and see the films at our huge local cinema with my dad in the 70s and in the 80s watched them repeatedly on cable TV every summer. This one didn’t disappoint.

Love a Bond movie, the last time I went was to watch Spectre so might have to try and go next week. Most likely my missus will want the crowds to die down before she goes so might take a few weeks more.

I've still not seen Spectre and only a bit of QOS. I have yet to see any of the DC iteration films.

I've seen every "proper" Bond film (so not Never Say Never Again) in the Cinema over the years. The first one I think I saw when released was You Only Live Twice (1967), prior ones when they dd re-runs. I hope we will go and see this one, but like Ed I think that Mrs PG will want to wait until the crowds subside, a lot.

I saw Never say Never Again in the cinema. I like that version of Thunderball but then Thunderball itself is one of the very best Bond films.

I hadn't really thought about it to be honest, even though our nearest cinema is less than 10 mins walk away. Work actually had some tickets to the premiere for one reason or another, but they were snapped up immediately by the great and the good.

Me and my son are going tonight. None of the girls seem that bothered. I remember going on holiday to London in the mid/late 70's with my parents and watching The Spy Who Loved Me in Leicester square. It was impossibly glamorous and kicked off my love of 007 and sports cars (The Lotus Esprit was a star of that film). Me and my dad watch a couple of Bond films over Christmas, usually with a nice drop of Laphroaig.

As Bond films were released around September time, it was a Birthday treat for me a number of times as a kid.
I'm really keen to see the new film, we're not worried about crowds, just need to sort out a babysitter! I did suggest that I could go with the eldest two next weekend, but that didn't go down well as Lindsay is almost as keen as I am to see it.

I haven't watched it yet, but I quite liked Spectre, so would probably look forward to this one.

Eventually got to see it last night. Where does Bond go from here?
On the car front, I do hope JLR don't pay a lot for product placement, a beaten up Land Cruiser running rings around all those Defenders. I also thought it a shame they had to kill a few Thesis in the making of the film. Don't they know Morgan need the tail lights.

I thought it was common knowledge, how the next bond will manage, wearing appropriate clothing is mind boggling. Or would trousers be seen as reasonable?

Now he’s retired, Daniel Craig is “Garden Raker” having received a retirement “Goldfinger” which all men over 45 should have regularly.

Brilliant film - I was worried how long it was, but it didn't seem long at all, nothing seemed to drag - it was classic Bond stuff but wonderfully filmed and acted. Nice. I wore a DJ and bow tie, naturally. A chap has to have standards....

Just watched it. Was excellent- I had t seen much about it but read the reviews here and wanted to see it. Was not disappointed! I do love how a secret agent can live like a multi millionaire though!

The last Bond film I saw was Daniel Craig's first one. I think I might've watched one of the Pierce Brosnan ones although I might be getting confused having seen various bits of them all, who knows. I don't remember Timothy Dalton's 2nd outing but I clearly remember Maryam D'Abo

The second Dalton film was the nadir of the series. Probably down there with Ishtar as a terrible film overall.

I don't think there's ever been a Bond film I disliked. All of them have some redeeming features. Usually a pair of them.

I have avoided this thread for weeks and have just got back from seeing it. Great film, really enjoyed it. Shame he chose a Toyota instead of getting the Aston's ski jet fired up!
