Well, the Gorilla is on Collecting Cars and the sale auction has begun.
They're not like eBay bidders, are they? 2 hours in and bids already with a week to go. I sold a monopod on eBay today with bidding all in last 30seconds.

A bit low but not terribly so. Thing is I could ask more as a straight sale and never see it. There’s one on AutoScout24 in Germany been there as long as I’ve been oo-ing and err-ing over mine (a year).
ETA: it beat my reserve so I can't complain.

Glad you beat your reserve, that's all that matters in the end and you've not had the hassle of running a private sale yourself or having WBAC not knowing what it is and low balling you.

I think you’ve done well, it was cheap at £15k an hour ago, but getting above £20k is pretty good imo. |

It’s in the Wham! thread. Just looked back at that and over 5 years of ownership that's a pretty good hold of value IMHO with what you sold it for. And although £8k in service costs over that time sounds high, I reckon that's probably par for the course - if you just add servicing and a good warranty on a post 3 years old large engined ICE car you're into £1500 a year easily. Any tinges of regret now that it has gone? Or upwards and onwards into the eco-sunlit uplands.. |
