Sytner are hoping on that F11 D5 tourer at £30k. Just a bit. It's a pretty basic spec, my 535d had more kit and that would be worth about £30 now!

D5s all had piss poor spec. I specced a G31 B5 touring and for the additional hundred or so a month a great spec would cost over a good spec I couldn’t see the point of skimping - a minor percentage difference.

They did, but no worse than standard M Sport iirc? The latest one is a bit better with Nappa and a few other bits plus you can add options individually which helps, but it's easy to get past £75k. The B5 estate is an easy £115k even if you stay away from the Alpina colours and leather. Do Alpina offer discounts in the UK?

Do Alpina offer discounts in the UK? No chance. That’s one of the big issues. 50% more for an Alpina over a stock M Sport is acceptable(ish) but after discounting it’s more like double. You’ve really got to WANT a new Alpina.

If they didn't their cars would just be a higher performance non M BMW but the company prides itself on its models being much more than that.
