Hadn’t thought about until I saw a 71 reg LEVC cab on Fleet Street this morning.

We followed a purple Yaris for about 2 miles on the m6 earlier before I realised it was a 71 plate

I’m hoping one of the first I see will be mine before I re-register it but no news yet

A beautiful deep blue metallic Cayman GT4 in St Andrews yesterday. I don't think the owner was completely comfortable with his clutch control!

Saw a Skoda SUV with a 71 plate outside a neighbours house. It was the bigger one but I can't remember what they call it other than something beginning with K. He's always got nearly new Skodas outside his house so I presume he works for the local dealer.

Like you I have absolutely no idea what the newer-SUV Skodas are called. I'm not sure if it is old age or just an utter lack of interest in them. Fabia, Octavia, Superb and then....no fucking idea at all.

Kamiq (small); Karoq (middle); Kodiak (biggest). I know because SiL was wavering between the Kamiq and the Karoq

I saw a side view of a slightly longer roofed Audi A3 recently and it was only on viewing the rear to see exactly which model it was that I realised it was a Skoda of some sort. Clearly the VAG photocopier has been upgraded to allow adjustment of the image within an existing size.
On topic, still haven't seen/noticed a 71 plate.

Finally saw a 71-plate this morning, on an Audi Q2 parked on double yellows almost on a junction just round the corner from home

My second one was a Cupra Ateca yesterday. Another grey thing, but dark metallic this time.

I've now seen 3, an Audi Q7 or Q8, another Audi SUV (Q3 or Q5, who knows without seeing the badge?) and a Kia something small SUV.

Seen a few more, prettyy mundane 71-plates, but today INsaw something a little more 'exotic' - a black BMW840i with pimp glass and a sadly - but entirely predictably - gittish driver. Can't win 'em all.

I saw something a little "more exotic" on a 71-plate a few days ago - a supermarket home-delivery van !
