On the back of this write-up of a pre-facelift XFR (weirdly with a wooden interior, one of the only ones I've seen with this abomination): www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=1941650I did some digging and realised my car has the "Speed Pack" that was another £2750 from new. I thought the spoiler was just a late XFR thing, but apparently the deeper splitter/big spoiler with brake light, are part of the speed pack. It also included a 174mph speed limiter raise ("natural" XFR top speed is usually reported at 190-194), and allegedly gearbox and suspension tweaks, though some claim not. Anyway this is interesting as I was sure the salesperson said my car had had a limiter increase to 174, but I had no proper spec of it. It's also interesting as I have grounded the extra bits on the splitter a few times maneuvering on uneven ground, and also since I have been to Germany in it a few times the fact the limiter is raised and the wings adjusted for high speed stability can't hurt. It's always felt quite a bit sportier than the first one I had too, I put that down to the wider, lighter, cold forged XFR-S alloys mine has as an option - and their wider track - perhaps more is behind it. It can't hurt anyway, with the black pack, these wheels, the speed pack, and colour - and being well below average miles now, it's all good :-) Picture taken this minute for good measure - it was cleaned last night..

It's a lovely car. Hopefully you'll get the chance to explore the limiter adjustment soon?

I knew the Speed Pack as a thing (which I don't have), but I didn't realise it was £2750.

One of those options that wouldn't be worth speccing when buying new, but a nice bonus when buying used.

Excellent and the car is looking fabulous.
Being rather odd, I would definitely tick the wood box if ordering one of these. I was very pleased to find a Benz with proper wood.
