Has anyone actually tried it or interacted with it?
I assume not, on the basis that it is surely aimed at those for whom a car registers alongside a fridge on the interest scale.
But one of their depos has sprung up not far from us in London, and this morning driving out of Ipswich I noticed that what used to be Audi Ipswich is now a Cazoo base.
And they seem to be next in line for one of these improbably highly valued floats.
Quite startling for a business barely two years old.

My friend seemed to know a lot about how minted this business was when I last spoke to him - something about how much they were sponsoring some sport or another. It’s them v Cinch in the wider market I believe, a supermarket car experience that’s one step up from CarGiant and BigMotoringWorld.

I’ve not used them but regularly drive past a large site in Northampton and another in Newport Pagnell (which is all SUVs) and I’m seeing more and more of their covered transport vehicles on the road. I read something about them a while back, I think the guy who started the business founded Zoopla so he knows what he’s doing online and had a few £.

It’s them v Cinch in the wider market I believe, a supermarket car experience that’s one step up from CarGiant and BigMotoringWorld. The one advantage that I always thought CarGiant had was that the average buyer can rock up and in one place have a poke around an example of nearly every model of car they might be considering, which if you aren't too fussed about how it drives is a good way to determine what you actually like/want or don't like/want. On several occasions when a non-petrolhead friend has sought advice, I've taken them there, pointed out what I think the decent choices are, let them loose to decide what floats their boat, and then we usually leave and go and buy an example of their chosen model somewhere else in the actual colour/mileage/spec/price they want. Not sure Cazoo offers that - think you need to already know what you want.

Cinch are just the online arm of British Car Auctions. I believe Cazoo was set up by the bloke behind Zoopla.

All I know of Cazoo, other than hearing Ed Gamble bleating on about them, is that they've become a new customer of our company and are spending a fair bit of money of which they seem to have plenty floating about.
As to how good value they are compared to a traditional dealer I dont know. They seem to work on a no haggle basis. The price you see is what you pay. I think Cinch are the same. Aren't We Buy Any Car part of BCA too? Perhaps one supplies the other with stock to a degree.
