Despite the high level of Covid cases in Europe, this shows what a country looks like when going for a zero Covid policy. How long are the Aussies going to keep going hiding themselves away from the world? And how long will their population accept it when they see the rest of the world is opening up?

Agreed. Australia is now looking at a completely unrealistic scenario, like trying to become free of the common cold. Commendable behaviour a few months ago has led them down a path of never ending belief that only the mass death scenario exists from Covid-19 risk.
A few F1 families will chuffed that the long haul race isn’t on this year a few weeks before Christmas so no loss.

No great loss I guess as the GP is usually only interesting as its the first one of the season.
Aussies are able to go to NZ and vice versa right? What else do you need. Apart from a bit of Culture

F1 are determined to have a 23 race calendar so I imagine they'll replace it with either a double header at one of the other upcoming races or go back to one of the circuits they visited last year. The Tuscan GP at Mugello went down quite well last year (except with Ferrari fans perhaps as well as the 4 drivers who messed up the end of the safety car) so could be worth bringing in again this year.

I'm still dreading the new quali system in place for the Brit GP and a few others. How long can they tinker with pointless crap rather than bringing in decent technical rules? If the manufacturers don't like it, there is always the Murcan ovals.
