Gave it its own thread as opposed to just adding to On The Telly - quite amusing to watch as they’ve all aged differently.
Matt LeBlanc (Joey) - lots of memes about how he’s now your fat Irish uncle. He looks like a boy in the clips from early days.
Jennifer Aniston (Rachel) - not worn too badly from a good starting point.
David Schwimmer (Ross) - probably the least changed, from a not-that-bothered-about-looking-like-a-star perspective.
Matthew Perry (Chandler) - had to look up online to check he’d not been in a car crash and went through the windshield. He hasn’t aged well but like all three of the male stars he seems a good bloke from his online profile since the show ended.
Lisa Kudrow (Phoebe) - like Schwimmer not much changed but from a not-fussed perspective
Courtney Cox (Monica) - OMFG. W2.1 just said “that’s bad plastic surgery” as soon as she came on screen. I reckon she refused to come on so they just grabbed a looks-like-Courtney-after-plastic-surgery hooker off the street.
It was great to have the show creators there too and then understandable that the show was very “white” as the characters, situations and setting were based on their own experiences in NYC at that age - you can’t make up stuff you have no understanding or experience of. I liked the show when it was on but not a mad-head about it. I still like watching re-runs as light viewing or even background noise so it clearly worked well.
Finally though: I can only assume they got James Cunt to compere the show so his utter shitness didn’t detract from the show’s stars. A neighbour mentioned on Saturday that the only time he’d wished he could’ve been Welsh was when he had the misfortune to see an episode of Gavin and Stacey so he could say Corden was an English wanker.
Anyway, Friends was a Great show but they could’ve done the reunion differently - with Brad Pitt as the chair or maybe some twigs nailed to a broom handle - something better than what they chose.
