A couple of the lads at work have these, so I thought I'd join in. 1/10 scale with digital proportional controls, proper dual wishbone suspension up front, motor is mounted in the middle with a proper propshaft and it has drift mode, which increases the motor power significantly and alters the maximum steering angle.

With that pick-up body, you can use them to transport small parts around the factory where the Mono is made ;-)

It can carry a brew if you're careful.

Good fun! I have an excessive amount of RC cars, when I rediscovered them (using the smokescreen of Lu being around) the brushless, LiPo powered cars around these days are just so good for the money compared to those of my yoof. I lurked on the sites of some companies like Carisma and they were selling some kits for 30 dollars (reduced from over 130!) at times a few years back. Mainly I like the 1/16th scale off roaders, like these. Bruchless, Lipo, decent metal shocks, carbon bits - what's not to like. The speed of them is extraordinary and they handle amazingly...

No idea if true but apparently there are RC cars around with a camera that you can 'drive' via a smart phone with a view from the 'drivers' perspective. Considering how fast these things can be that might be difficult.

A few of the guys in my flying club have either electric or i/c powered buggies for days the weather isn't good enough to fly! No idea if true but apparently there are RC cars around with a camera that you can 'drive' via a smart phone with a view from the 'drivers' perspective. Considering how fast these things can be that might be difficult. I believe there are. There are definitely model aircraft equipped with FPV cameras - difficult to fly, but great fun - allegedly.
