That is sad news. When I worked in the motor industry (on crash sensors) I very occasionally visited Ford and he was known to all simply as "RPJ". Any time a visit by him was due, there was an atmosphere of excitement and also trepidation over what he would pick up "this time".

RIP Richard Reminds me of when Carlos Ghosn used to visit Nissan in Sunderland and people used to run around sweeping up and painting everything insight before he arrived.
