Looks interesting. Of course, the ultimate opposed piston two stroke has to be the Napier Deltic: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Napier_DelticAn example of something can be complex, yet simple at the same time. I particularly like how one crankshaft turns in the opposite direction to the others.

I remember that the Deltics always used to be sinister and threatening as they slowly moved into a station with that characteristic throb. I think it was because you couldn't usually see the driver in the cab.

Love Deltics. Always remind me of some grim BR era when trains were proper workhorses after the romance of steam locomotion, the latter of which I will forever associate with the Famous Five books.
