That’s a nice motor. Always loved BMW wagons, will probably own one at some stage myself. I last drove one with that engine in an E60 with flappy paddles and really liked it. Congrats!

I can safely say that a remap is not needed. It's unnecessarily indecently quick as it is. Literally no effort involved in overtaking - if there's a gap, you're getting past. It even sounds good when given the berries. Nice! I don't think 330d's were ever accused of being slow, and indeed 6 pot diesels can make some interesting noises, they sound a lot less agricultural than 4 pots... Enjoy!

That does look much better. I find it hard to believe the original wheels sat so far inside the arch.

The E46 wheels have a different offset to the E90 wheels, which I never realised before I swapped them. It also means that the E90 wheels look really mean on the E46, as they fill the arches perfectly.

That's loads better - nice wheels!
I was always sniffy about spacers but I swear something about this XFR makes it feel more stable and planted than the old one, and it has wider "XFR-S" alloys which fill the arches much more than before, where they were like your "before" pic.
How's the traction? I could never get over just how well the 330i pulled away from a standstill, it was hard to make the rear end break away except in low grip conditions even if you were trying...

I've not bothered the DTC yet whilst pulling away.
