... it doesn't sit well that this magazine is one of the waiting room journals in the building you're in: ipropertymedia.com/latest/It has articles such as: Buy, lease, charter a private jet, for travel comfort, one Miami beachfront property on sale for a mere $40M and a review of watch which made me want to gouge my eyes out in an attempt to un-see it. Usefully, though, there was an article on buying an apartment associated with a hotel in StMoritz, allowing you to use their spa and facilities. They weren't MAD on the expensive front and if one could do a deal with the hotel to offer the apartment for paying guests would make a pretty good proposition as a holiday home. Browse the latest issue at your (or your planned pension fund's) peril...

How (some of) the other half live, eh ! If I had enough money not to have to work for the rest of my life and also to afford to go wherever I wanted, whenever I wanted, I doubt that I'd buy a second home anywhere. I'd prefer to have one home and then travel, staying in hotels etc at a "reasonable level of comfort". I was more than happy with my suite in Philadelphia on holiday last month, it had a fridge/freezer, sink, microwave, cutlery, crockery and even a dishwasher ! Equivalent of a 3-star hotel but about £30 per night more which I paid mainly for the central location rather than the room facilities

A Mates parent's had something similar in a hotel in Torquay. Not that exciting you think but as everyone wanted to visit the UK it scored highly on timeshare points and a a result for not a lot of money they got some nice holidays out of it when the used their points instead of using the apartment.
