Trying to buy a bike locally for daughter off of Facebook Marketplace. Many sellers just don’t respond. The current one is spurious with her responsiveness at best.

Having sold a few things on market place, you need to develop a first come first served attitude, but stick to your word. It is frustrating dealing with people who are clearly dealing/playing several people off against another.
eBay equally terrible for trying to contact sellers these days

At which point you realise you may as well just go to Halfords and get a new one. Much less hassle and you wont have to replace worn brakes and tyres or scrape off any rust.

Talking about not being interested - I am looking at buying another Porsche from the worlds most dodgy seller via ebay- they couldn't be less interested in making any effort to respond to my queries - if I didn't think it maybe a decent car stuck with the wrong seller I would have given up long ago - going to see it tomorrow - what is the betting either he or the car isn't there.....

The shit sellers are frequently where the bargains are to be had. If they are rotten at getting back to you, they'll be the same with everyone else, they get hacked off and you are, suddenly, the only buyer.... name your price and get a bargain.
