Dropped the Kuga off for its MoT and service a couple of hours ago. Mot heard anything yet but using the online MoT checker it has passed. I did point out that it's not been used much in the past year due to lockdown, SORN'd for last April and May and then an occasional trip just to give it a run and charge the battery up (I've not had to connect a battery charger to it). Also that the brakes were corroding due to lack of use, although I did drive it about 10 miles this morning on the way to the garage to get it nicely warmed up and to try to remove the worst of the surface corrosion on the discs (particularly the rear discs) However if Ford can produce a diesel engine that has no emissions, why all the hoo-ha about moving to EV's or penalising diesels for their emissions? 700 miles in 12 months.....does it win the forum garage queen award or can Dan keep the trophy for another year? The cost per mile will be awful.

That is more than my Standard has done in the past 12 months, but that is an 89 year old car in a year when all the events I usually would have attended have been cancelled.

I think I've done more than that in the 430d since we got it at the end of January and that's despite using the 530d and campervan as well.

How old is the Kuga?
Our Fiat 500 is nearly 7.5yrs old and has a smidge over 21,000 miles recorded. I think it did 1,100 miles last year, much of which was two trips to Suffolk and back while the BMW was in Italy.

I might have a record for cars regularly driven. 405.6 miles at an average of 7.8 miles per week. Allowing for the fact that I did not get to drive Bess while the idiot fecked about that's minus 10 weeks of non shopping trips.

My Benz is 5.5 years old and has 20,500 on the clock. The MINI is 4 years old with about 25,000 clocked up. This will all change when commuting is back in fashion.

The Kuga will be 4 in a couple of weeks time. The mileage is only low in the past 12 months because of Boris; last year I drove it home from its service and MoT on a Saturday, and on the Monday evening Boris ordered us to stay at home. That's why I then SORN'd it for what turned out to be 2 months, after which it got driven once every few weeks just to give it a run, charge the battery up and get the "rotating parts" moving. Typically this involved driving a couple of junctions down the M3 and back, hence the low useage of the brakes too.
When I was going into work I used the Fiesta, even there its usually annual mileage dropped significantly because it didn't get used for week-end leisure trips as Boris banned those too.

I think the 911 probably takes the award - being stuck in Mum's garage whilst the never ending building is going on - just coming out for MOTs - done more miles int eh Audi in a week during lockdown that I have in 2 years in the Porsche its sad to say....
