Such a shame, it doesn’t look happy. The original BMW MINI was a brilliant reinvention but every model since gets worse looking.

Like the current model the photos will look worse than the metal (plastic), although the Cooper S grille is unsaveably bad IMHO.

I was expecting worse TBH when I opened this thread. The S version does however look like it's rocking a Mexican bandito's 'tache. Better in a dark colour!

I get the feeling it is supposed to evoke the bullbar and spotlight types to represent the rally car yonks ago.

That front is crying out for some spotlights to take your eyes away from it.  And a dark colour. It could have been worse. At least it's not got a 4 series look-a-like grille. |

Not good - the Clubman got a much better facelift last year - I don't know why this wasn't carried over to the the 3 and 5 door models.
Just for good measure, I see they've also added a pretty hideous wheel option.
