This weeks rental is a Dodge Durango V8.
It’s a massive 7 seater SUV with plenty of room inside, that you have to climb up into to drive.
Thoughts, the engine is pretty good, but you’d expect that for something that’s a higher spec model.
The inside is decent, it has heated everything, Alva Tara and leather seats that are very comfortable. Pulls well in every gear and has stop start engine functions, so cuts out immediately you stop.
It’s a distinctly American vehicle that would be a monster on UK roads, though didn’t feel too big driving it around San Francisco.
I honestly have enjoyed this one, it didn’t smell of weed either which is a bonus!
The other impressive thing is it’s averaged over 20mpg, and that’s with mixed driving.
The fuel tank must hold about 25 gallons, as it’s giving about 500 to a tank, so visits to the petrol station won’t be frequent but will take longer than normal.
Overall, a pretty decent car for the week.
