I too expected top see a 530e. That sight will probably become more common as EV's become more common, as it seems that some of them can't even be towed if they are out of juice. To avoid having to wait for a charger, a trailer mounted generator will become a must have accessory behind your EV if you want to do long trips. It simply converts it into the ultimate range extender.  |

Don’t start on the 530e.
The buyer for the Gorilla is in Holland and we agreed the sale etc just before tier 4. FFS. Also some of the lease costs for the 530e were stupid that a 540iX was looking more affordable but then leases have come down now. I’m then looking at sourcing my own 19” wheels as the 530e looks to be painfully unobtainable with them. I saw a photo of the actual colour and that’s definitely the colour - I’m now expecting that a 545e Touring will be announced in the Spring so a longer wait. It’s not like I’m going anywhere I suppose.

What's needed is for some clever manufacturer to fit this accessory to the car itself, perhaps in the form of a combustion engine in the 'frunk' (there's an utterly detestable word that is gaining far too much popularity amongst motoring journalists!) |
