It does seem odd however that anyone can buy an 812 Superfast with zero training over and above a basic license. These things probably are too quick for our roads and the more power gets out of control the quicker the government will want to put a stop to our fun.
I think max 400hp at sub 1.3 tonnes is the sweet spot for power vs fun ratio. Anything more your just holding on and for most drivers, trusting in electronic stability systems alone rather then improving their driving skills.

Anything can be dangerous in the wrong conditions. I played the part of good Samaritan at the weekend when I happened across a Discovery 2 and a very embarrassed driver who had taken a snow covered corner a touch too quick and embedded it in a hedge. I pulled him out.

Yep - to make shite music and massive errors of judgement, apparently...

I think max 400hp at sub 1.3 tonnes is the sweet spot for power vs fun ratio. Even that amount of power is pretty generous. That's about the same as the M5 in HP per tonne.

People were crashing ferraris with half that power,I never gelled with ferrari steering and I can see people struggling to control the car if you get something wrong. It's not just a case of power, the DBS had 510 bhp and felt a lot more crashable than the gallardo or gt3 both of which have/had similar power.

The Gorilla has 507 and never feels anything other than rock solid. My S100RR weighed about 200kgs wet and had 200BHP, so 1000BHP per tonne. Again: I've never ridden more stable motorcycle.
Basically the twat driving that Ferrari is the issue.

I must be getting old as I’ve never heard of any of these ‘famous’ rappers. Apparently someone called MF Doom croaked the other week and we were all supposed to know who he was.
Is that M&M fella still going?

This is the problem, made worse by people making huge jumps in performance from what they've driven before and then not helped by the time of year and summer/track biased tyres.

I wouldn't be surprised if most performance cars are bought by those who do it for the image (and because they can easily afford it) with such buyers having no more interest in driving than my Mum so probably have no notion of the importance of tyres or even driving skills before taking the wheel of their Ferrari / Porsche etc. And I would guess that even if driver training was offered they wouldn't take up the offer.

And you would share a video like that??? What a tool.
What he did is available in most RWD high performance cars any time (it certainly is in mine, any weather, TC on or off) if you just mash the loud pedal to the floor with no finesse whatsoever.
He was very lucky there not to have killed someone, and if he did he may (justifiably) have been up for a manslaughter charge...

Basically the twat driving that Ferrari is the issue. This is all that needs to be said really. Any car, however powerful or not, driven without due care for the road and conditions, and your own skill level, can result in a crash. Add an over-monied, show-off wanker into the equation and it's pretty much guaranteed.

RWD and plenty of power is a toxic mix to those who have only experienced FWD cars with a surfeit of zealous electronic nannies papering over the cracks of their lack of finesse.
My Cayman demands plenty of respect in these conditions even with all the nannies very much left on, and keeping the revs at running-in levels. I'm glad I had some good and helpful tuition on throttle control when I got my first Cayman back in 2006.

What kind of name is Mike Will Made-It? Doesn't exactly roll off the tongue, does it?
Plus it's grammatically incorrect.

What I don't understand is how they're actually making enough money from music to afford an 812. Only the well established big boys make any decent money nowadays (Springsteen, Iron Maiden, etc)and that's only when they can tour and charge extortionate amounts for tickets, or sell branded beers/whiskies. Very few people actually buy albums nowadays, and streaming services pay next to nothing to artists.
I'm going out on a limb and guessing the sale of narcotics was involved in the purchase of said Ferrari.

Yeah, they get a fraction of a penny per stream but millions of streams globally soon start to add up.

Apparently the KLF have just put their back catalogue on stream feeds.
They’re going to publicly burn £0.000006 in Hyde Park to mark the occasion.
If that guy is a producer he gets a lot more than the artists he whores out.
