Party, what party? They're not allowed in the UK as we're under effective lockdown for the 3rd time, and for the whole of 2021 so far ....... !
How's things in Singapore? I understand that there are still concerns amongst the "immigrant workforce", but for resident Singaporeans, how "normal" is life? Are shops and places of work open etc?

It's actually getting a lot better now. We haven't completely opened up but we've relaxed more measures shortly after Christmas (most significantly we can gather in larger groups of 8 people now). We're still getting a handful of imported cases from folks entering from overseas but I think by and large the isolation measures are sorta working. We shall see over the coming months then, especially since they announced that they're hosting the World Economic Forum here later this year. I'm still mostly working from home but most business and shops are open. Masks are mandatory whenever you're in public. |
