That's good and I think he deserves it.....as long as he drives as hard for Red Bull as he has done in the last 6 or 7 races.

Be really interesting to see how he compares to Max, he’s on great form but hasn’t always been better than his team mate so I guess it depends on how well he adapts to the car.

In terms of raw speed I think he'll have his doors blown off by Verstappen but he'll be far enough down the road that they don't make contact like he has with so many of his teammates previously. What he should do is add points up far more regularly then Albon and when there is a strange race like in Bahrain he should be there to pick up the pieces

The only decision that Red Bull could take. I admire the way that Red Bull gives these young guys a chance. A lot of them wouldn’t be either auditioning or competing in F1 if it wasn’t for Red Bull. However, the experimenting with drivers has cost them podiums and points over the years. Ricciardo leaving was a surprise even for them. I think they need some stability with Verstappen and Perez now. Perez is at the perfect stage of his career. He has the experience of different regulations, different tyres, engines etc. But he isn’t so old that he’s slowed down.
I feel for Albon. He always looked like someone who tried damn hard, but couldn’t quite execute when it mattered. I genuinely think he could have won the Austrian GP; he was on the perfect strategy with both Merc’s ahead on old tyres. He tangled with Hamilton on the restart, a tangle he didn’t need to get involved in at that point. Had he won, it probably would have transformed his confidence. Gasly had an opportunity to win and grabbed it with both hands. It’s in the head.
I’m looking forward to seeing Yuki Tsunoda at Alpha Tauri. When he needed to be fast in F2 he was. That sounds strange, but as I’ve said before F2 is rarely about driving quickly.

Not as strange, maybe, as finding out that his surname is an anagram of "a donuts" ... maybe he will be nick-named Yuki Donuts ?
