Oh. Dear.
I am not a fan of the "evolution" styling that so many manufacturers seem to be using. A new car (or mobile barn) should be just that - new including its appearance. Have stylists and designers forgotten how to do "new"?
3rd photo down, if only "YEK" had read "YUK" it would be closer to the mark.... also to my eyes initially at least.... the plate doesn't quite look "square" to the trim panel

Porsche seem to have been pretty successful with their evolution styling.
I like that new Discovery. I’m guessing that any updates are minor just due to cash constraints - JLR has spent a lot of development money recently- and they may be reluctant to throw a lot of money at a model that doesn’t sell that well.

That's not even lipstick on a pig. Just the merest hint of lip balm...
Still a misbegotten bit of design.

Sister in law visited a few weeks ago in hers. It’s not a pretty thing but I do thing this facelift improves matters. It’s a shame the utility of the 4 is gone but that’s where Defender comes in now.

Obviously they've launched it with the images of the full fat version with big rims and black pack and it looks very good. Odd how a small tweak at the back makes such a difference. Interesting those images of the new one don't include the rear 3/4 view which is the one that I hate the most. The big ass hanging out the back.

Is it still going to have the smallest brake lights known to man?

I'm struggling to see much difference apart from the tidying up of the silver bit at the bottom of the rear bumper and slightly different lights.

There's no metal changes (they're expensive) but it has been tidied up around the bumpers. The back is more successful. I've just had a look on the configurator and it appears a few things that were standard have found their way to the options list. Those wanky indicators that turn on in sequence are a £100 option.
