The problem with such vehicles is that if you remove the fussy detailing, what remains could be one of a dozen things.
Bo-ring!

Manufacturers seem to design a very dull basic shape and add overly fussy details in a bid to make it interesting, instead of just desigining an interesting car from the get go. And Kona is a make of bike. I used to have one.

Agreed. Too much fussy detailing, so not my cup of coffee.

Don't they make mountain bikes as well?
I don't mind the front too much but the rear end is too fussy.

According to Blarno, yes. The name association is clearly key to identify a customer demographic.

Best bike I ever owned (Before my current one), the Kona. Got nicked by a local scrote one day after my fence blew down in high winds.

According to Blarno, yes. The name association is clearly key to identify a customer demographic. So, target customer = someone who rides a bike and drinks coffee.....

I imagine it'll be more of a Mokka competitor than Cappuccino.

It's wilfully ugly enough to be the new Citroen Ami!

Slap some Merc badges on that and it would sell by the million.
