Pretty sure Sav has seen this and I know Eff One has but for the rest of you: this is what entitlement looks like on the karting scene. Dad owns the circuit; you're shunted off so you do this:
Won't be seeing Luca Corberi again any time soon hopefully.

Oh dear, arrivederci Luca.
Though Dan Ticktum is still campaigning at a high level of the sport so not always a destroyer of a career. What happened to the motorcycle racer who pressed the brakes on his rival while going down the straight at 200mph?

The late braker was apparently fired by his team, not heard of him since.

What happened to the motorcycle racer who pressed the brakes on his rival while going down the straight at 200mph? Fenati. He was banned for remainder of the 2018 season and raced in 2019 with one race win. He won in Italy in Moto3 on 20th September this year too. He's a great rider but a bit of a twat.

As of yesterday afternoon it was still being reported that he is taking Mick Schumachers seat in F2 for the rest of the season to let him prepare for F1.
I don’t know whether that’s true, but hope he gets dropped before he starts if it is.

Mind you it would be great PR to have a complete headcase in F1.

It always amuses me when someone rushes in to punch somebody who is wearing a helmet.

Utterly disgraceful behaviour on track, and worse still in the paddock after the race. At 23, Corberi would have been one of the oldest drivers present and should be setting an example. And as for the older man (allegedly Corberi's father) shown bodyslamming the other driver into a wall - beyond reprehensible.
Felipe Massa is the president of the FIA's karting body and will - along with the FIA as a whole - be under some pressure to act swiftly against all involved.

Should be, especially given the brawl in the pits/paddock afterwards. Utterly disgraceful and worthy of a prison term for son AND father. Pair of c*nts!!

The victim was MUCH smaller and I was thinking it might even have been a girl but no way to know that. What sort of age difference is there is that kart meet?

Fair play to the little kid for not being intimidated and trying to have a dig back...

He’s jumped (retired from motorsport) before he was banned but Massa is still planning to take action against him.

The other driver was Paolo Ippolito. Not sure of his age but 15 is the minimum in that class. There's a bigger age range than I would have expected at that level, with a mix of 'career' karters and kids on the way up. Verstappen won it in 2013, at the age of 16, but the winner on Sunday was in his thirties.

Martin is right, Corberi jumped before he was pushed. The FIA would have been totally correct to give him a lifetime ban if he hadn't voluntarily stepped down.
Not exactly the same situation, but for years in NASCAR have shown their displeasure to other drivers by tossing their helmets at competitors still driving. That all came to an end, when someone called Kevin Ward Jr died after he felt aggrieved at being spun out, then Ward tried to confront Tony Stewart whilst the race was going on. Stewart couldn't avoid him, and Ward died on the spot. That didn't happen at a NASCAR race, that was just a lower-league dirt track. But, after that all US championships prohibited drivers walking around the circuit seeking revenge.

Considering Crashjeans antic's, I am surprised he did not have his posterior handed to him.

I think that was initially thought. The Sheriff Office concluded that there wasn't intent, and it was just an accident with no criminal behaviour. The lighting wasn't great, not like a NASCAR track at night. But when a driver is faced with someone running about everywhere, what happens next is anyone's guess. Stewart did settle a lawsuit with the Ward family, after they tried to sue him. I think the issue for Stewart in court, would have been his foul temper in NASCAR. Can't exactly call him a model of self-control....
