Hadn’t thought about it until I saw this pull up next to my car on the Ferry. I can see it’s a Kia, but no idea which one. He’s given me plenty of space to get in, but I’d parked angled to the left just in case (before anyone says I’m not parked straight!)

Saw a Peugeot 2008 on a 70 plate today at the Commando Monument, Lochaber. I couldn’t get my head round it for a moment until I realised it was the 2nd Sept and anew reg was out.

Loads yesterday on my long 500 miles of UK motorways. First was a Nissan pick up but most interesting was a Taycan.

It's a Niro. Haven't seen any 70s yet. Yes, I had a look at the badge when I got back to the car. I looked down at the wheels when I was sat in mine and was surprised to see it had Michelin PS4 tyres.

Saw a few today. A truck of some kind, 2 generic VW hatchbacks (Golf or Polo, I couldn't care less which) and an M5.

Amazingly, drove and passengered more than 300 miles today, mostly on the M6, without spotting a single 70 plate.

Finally saw one this morning passing Kilmany (Jim Clark's approximate birthplace), it was a lime green Suzuki Jimny, so hard to miss.

A trip with a work colleague to the "home of pork pies" meant that I saw a handful of 70-plates today, mostly on the M1. The first was on an Audi A6

An all black mercedes amg e53 estate ,which I'm not a fan of the looks normally but it looked great . New landrover (full size tonka toy ) and the aston suv ,now I have seen a few of the astons being tested near here and not been immpressed but this one looked very nice (or maybe it was the rather pretty girl driving it that impressed )

Saw my first 70-plate today at the LR dealer when taking the Velar out for a spin. A black Discovery.

A 70 plate BMW 2GC. As I came up behind it I thought "what's that?". Then I saw the BMW badge and realised what it was.
