On the morning commute we have to come out of a T-junction in the local village, turning right. There's a house on the left hand corner and their hedge is getting a bit long making it awkward as you have to stick the nose out too far. Sometimes we've been stuck there for a few minutes but this morning a kind gent in a full-fat Range Rover, approaching from the left, let us out almost immediately, coming to a stop to do so.
Totally unexpected, thank you.

We occasionally walk the dogs along a (mercifully short) stretch of dual with a very narrow path, and have our fillings shaken by the odd passing lorry. Last time, one checked his mirror and then pulled out, just to give us a bit more space. He got a wave of thanks, and seemed surprised but appreciative.

Weird. Same junction this morning, same thing except it was a bright yellow Mk1 BMW Mini.

I was in a hurry to get home yesterday and came up behind a white Range Rover Sport that slowed down and suddenly started adhering to the speed limit including a 40 mph section where nobody ever does less than national. Louisa was wearing her fluorescent cycling jacket and you can never quite be sure who's driving a Volvo estate.

Mrs Tim made a similar comment yesterday as we were both wearing white tops and I had a dark tie on. Plus with the roof bars on from a distance some people may mistake that for a set of the slimline lights plodmobiles have nowadays.
I haven't seen a black police car though.

Durham have black BMW 3 Series. Northumberland seem to use Audis of all colours which makes them hard to spot.

Traffic plod near work had a black 14-plate Focus out the other day, which got two speeders (presumably, as we only saw them parked up) within 20 minutes. There was also an unmarked white Fiesta plus about 6 vans full of uniformed cops dotting about the area.
