www.bbc.co.uk/sport/formula1/40179662Extract from the BBC article: Renault said Kubica "complained about grip, understeer, downforce and had the biggest smile on after his 115 laps". A reporter from the French newspaper L'Equipe said on Twitter that the 32-year-old conducted a race-simulation run and set a fastest lap time quicker than Renault reserve driver Sergei Sirotkin. Renault were not available to verify the information.

Always rated the guy and if he can make the grade why not? Where would he go? Replace Jolyon Palmer is my guess but conjecture is a fine thing. I think he is around the same age as Hamilton so has a few years before his run out date.

^ I'm hoping that this could be the reason behind Renault arranging the test.......

I would love to see him back, and Renault is the obvious choice. The gap between Hulkenberg and Palmer is frankly embarrassing, and the team won't stand for it much longer. He's had a season and a half to get to grips with F1.
