The outlaws have recently swapped their Skoda Yeti for a Kodiak which is a generally unremarkable car. However, it does have this clever little feature on the doors that should help protect them and other cars from metal on metal dings.
Found this video of them in action:

I think the 'Simply Clever' features are part of what makes a Skoda such a good choice as a family car. Not particularly exciting (excepting the VRS versions), or sexy, but their fitness for purpose takes some beating.

A guy at work bought a Skoda umbrella and got a free car with it.

Those door protectors are a very good idea. Well done Skoda.

They should be made law as far as I'm concerned. I have a chunk of lacquer out of the side of rear left hand door courtesy of some cunt in a car park.

Ford introduced those on the Focus 8 years ago. I had no idea. That little bastard at the end needs a proper telling off.

I had a 2012 Focus and never spotted that feature. It must have been an optional extra.

It was. Astoundingly cheap though - it was something like £50 or £75.

Neat idea but I wonder if people will then just open the door carelessly thereafter.
