Ford have just released the Bronco here. It’s a big thing for them to do it as they are reviving an old model, only introducing it as a new brand. Obviously aiming at the off road market And specifically at Jeep, it comes with a choice of Ecoboost engines and I believe a V8 too. Base model is just under $30k. www.caranddriver.com/news/a33302027/2021-ford-bronco-under-30000-priced/

Looks OK that, certainly looks like a Bronco and I prefer it to the Jeep. It's not coming here though so it's of limited interest to me.

That looks really cool but also looks really small for a US SUV. How big is it?

That looks really cool but also looks really small for a US SUV. How big is it? I think the apparent size is distorted by the huge wheels and tyres it appears to be adorned with

I like it apart from the stupid trim level names.

That looks really cool but also looks really small for a US SUV. How big is it? It is fairly small for the US, but needs to be really if it's going to be used off road. The 2 door is 4.4m and the 4 door is 4.8m, so shorter than the new Defender which is 4.6m and 5.0m The width varies by trim level, but the widest is 2m with the mirrors folded so exactly the same as the Defender.

I like the design of the Bronco Sport. If the Bronco sport is based on a Kuga flooran (as the articles say it is), I reckon it would succeed in Europe.
The Bronco itself, I want to like. But it looks almost too much like a caricature of an off-roader somehow - I think it is the huge wheel / tyre combo on even the base models. Which must render it awful on road no matter how good it is off road.

Apparently Ford sold out the top of the range model in 24 hours.
I can see the popularity of it here, but you can get a lot of fancy 4x4 fun for that kind of money. A nearly new F150 Raptor would sit in that price range and would be a lot of fun. I see them regularly and if I was ever in the market for a truck, I’d get one in a heartbeat. They have massive depreciation too, losing about 40% in the first 18 months or so, and that’s on a $70,000 vehicle.
