'Grampa 1' is 'Grampa' - I changed my email address - old one no longer works - long story. I went to log on here and my password didn't work (been a night mare since I joined another form that uses pro-boards - tried to recover my password and of course it sends the info to the email address registered, so I couldn't get it! - hence registering 'Grampa 1' - are there any admins here who could sort this out for me please.
Ta.

I'm not that I can as global login is managed by Proboards. I'll have a look.

It's frustrating to lose an email address, I lost my ntlworld address when I moved out of a Virgin media area and have no way of accessing any emails sent to it as VM kindly removed access!!

And is the new you all well and good? I am sure most of us never think about losing an email address, but they are so integral to life now.

You can change your viewable username, though.

Nightmare. I have my own domain (three actually) and I'd shit myself if I lost them as my mum uses a mail address provided by me and the other two are related to my girls' names.
Worse still is the requirement to have an iCloud address and a gmail address just to do stuff. Then I have work mail addresses, a new one each year or two. At the moment my office 365 thinks I want to log on to three different organisations.....

I've made the mistake of using an ISP based email once before. Luckily, stuff didn't take too much sorting out.
I use Gmail for personal, have my own domain for work and have another Gmail for my blog. It simplifies matters a lot. I hated having to have two icloud accounts - I can't remember how it even came about but I think it was something to do with my old ISP address causing the issue. Was so glad to rid myself of Apple related stuff.

Both the missus and I have had our BT email addresses deleted in the past. I just said 'fuck it' and didn't bother, but she went ballistic at BT and made them reopen it and attempt to recover any lost stuff, too, which was only partially successful. I had several accounts tied to that email address and moved the ones I could to Gmail instead.

User name changed successfully thanks - I'd assumed it wouldn't let me do that as 'Grampa' was already in use (or thanks to an admin if one of you deleted the old me so that I could use it again). Yes the email thing was a bit of a nightmare - had my old address for over 20 years - originally Demon and when they disappeared I paid to keep it as it's my business address but last month got told the company was no longer supporting old Demon addresses, so had no option.

That's happened to all my new posts - I guess I have to wait until someone can OK them.

Sorry about that. Moderators can see quarantined posts but only admins can approve them. I did it to stop the seemingly endless spammers that sign up.
