It's my nephew's 18th birthday soon and I was thinking of buying him an offroad experience (or I could just leave it and he'll put his A2 through a hedge naturally...) Any recommendations for good venue in the North East?

Is Skipton too far south? There are a few forum members who've really enjoyed the LR experience

Cheers for that - they both look good. I might go with the Slaley one - last time I took him and my niece up there they had me swinging through the trees on the Go Ape course (still got my certificate).

And useful if he needs to test his eyesight at the same time! Wouldn't mind doing one of these experiences one day myself. I've got a mate who does a bit of greenlaning in his old hilux so maybe I'll have to join him one day when we're allowed back in other peoples cars.

Deepdale off road near Barnard Castle gets good recommendations from a friend of mine. I've read that taking Land Rover cars to Barnard Castle was popular recently......
