My parents neighbours had an indoor pool as part of their house build and they did use it a lot, but when they downsized and sold the house, it was worth less because of the cost of maintaining it, which also made the market a lot smaller. A pool is different to an endless pool. Think of an endless pool as a fancy hot tub. Yes, I get that. Don't hot tubs cost £50+ a month to run?

There's something very Wile E Coyoto / Roadrunner about that swimming method. I imagine in my head the person stopping and twanging back against the fence.....
