^ V70 NOT was available but I somehow doubted that she would have stayed in Nottingham all her life, which turned out to be true only a couple of months later Or drove a V70 for the rest of her life. I always wonder why people keep plates like X3 ABC or X5 DEF when they are driving a 5 series or and Audi etc. My plate has my initials on it and after nearly 30 years of ownership is starting to look more distinguished than it did when I got it at first. It is also not car specific thankfully.

^ Ah yes but that wouldn't have been so bad with V70 NOT as the next car would NOT be a V70 ;-)

I witnessed what is possibly the most middle class Cheshire plate ever this morning: V70 AGA on an early (Boxy, basically a smoothed 850) Volvo V70, emerging from one of the well-to-do areas I pass through on my way to work. I am in absolutely no doubt that they have an AGA in their house. Almost guaranteed. Someone I know runs an AGA service business and has an AGA plate on his van. Could be that the Volvo driver is similarly employed?

SN06 MEG on a badly-driven Fiat 500. In Middlesbrough today I was behind a grey Juke today with SM08 MEG. Obviously local.

B1NDT which doesn't seem especially flattering towards the lady driving the Mercedes it was on.

RS 05 FAT on a cabrio. Right shape exhausts, too. But tiddly pipes hidden therein and strangely they'd gone without the RS5 badge. Such an unusual combination of modesty and gittishness...

This morning on my way to work:
K55 5AM X on an elderly Audi TT
which was following R HYDE (R 11 YDE needing a suitable black screwhead on the plate to complete the "illusion" of the plate presumably spelling the owner's name.... why??)

A B16ANE - presumably meaning a big one - on a Kia Optima estate. Big Anne, isn't it? Or Bi Cane. I read it as 'ane' (pronounced like lane, minus the L of course). Plenty of Scots pronounce 'one' in that way when used in the context of, for example, saying how large their estate car is.

A 90D X
On a Tesla Model X 90D, so I suppose it’s a bit better than the new A7 with a CLS number plate I saw yesterday.
